Ethical Commitment

Integrity and Transparency: our pillars

Ternium is committed to building a corporate culture of transparency and integrity, based on ethical behavior and in compliance with all applicable laws.

These core values guide the actions of our people in their day-to-day activities, and are crucial for sustaining our business in a competitive market.

By leveraging all these tools, we seek commitment among our employees and other stakeholders to be governed by the values of our corporate culture.

  • We have implemented a Code of Conduct that requires formal acceptance of its principles and raises awareness through training courses and communication campaigns.

  • We have developed a Policy on Business Conduct and a Compliance Program for the prevention of bribery and mitigation of corruption risks.

  • We have implemented a Code of Conduct for Suppliers that applies to all third parties who engage with us for the provision of goods and services.

  • We promote the use of a Compliance Line to report suspected breaches of the Code of Conduct and the Policy on Business Conduct.

  • We conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with our policies as well as existing standards and regulations.

Ternium’s Code of Conduct sets out clear integrity and transparency guidelines and standards that apply to all our employees, officers and directors, as well as suppliers, marketing intermediaries and representatives.

Business Conduct Compliance Program

Ternium has adopted a Policy on Business Conduct that sets out guidelines and procedures based on compliance with internal rules and current legislation, and which strictly prohibits bribery at all times and any form.

Ternium has also developed a Business Conduct Compliance Program aimed at preventing bribery and mitigating corruption risks. We have also appointed a Compliance Officer to implement, communicate and supervise such Compliance Program, and to promote a culture of ethics.

Our Compliance Program includes multiple activities for the prevention, identification and mitigation of risks. It seeks to engage employees and motivate them to promote business conduct best practices both internally and in relation to our suppliers, customers, government entities and other stakeholders.

Compliance Line

Ternium’s compliance Line serves as a channel for confidential communication and is available to all employees, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders who wish to report all types of alleged breaches of the Code of Conduct and the Policy on Business Conduct.

Both the identity of the individual who reports an issue as well as the issue itself are treated in a strictly confidential manner, to the extent permitted by relevant legislation. Anonymous reporting is also possible.

Internal Audit, which is independent from all operational areas, analyzes all reports received.

Ternium will implement the actions necessary to avoid retaliation against those who use the Compliance Line in good faith.

You can send your report through a web form or making a phone call.
