Risk prevention technology

The use of metrics helps us analyze historical data and correlate them in order to identify patterns. We also use Artificial Intelligence to analyze videos and identify risk situations. Currently, more than 1,300 cameras monitor our processes in real time. We have also implemented Virtual Reality in order to strengthen risk prevention. For example, we use this technology for the training of employees in the handling of cranes. We make sure that our crane operators are NCCCO certified. We have started using our first high-precision crane simulator in the new training rooms of our Guerrero plant in Monterrey, Mexico.

Our Commitment

  • All work-related injuries and illnesses can and should be prevented.
  • Compliance with all applicable legal and other regulations to which Ternium voluntarily agrees.
  • Continuous improvement of all processes related to staff's health and safety.
  • Occupational safety and health must be integrated into all company processes.
  • No emergency situation, production process or results justify putting people’s occupational safety or health at risk.
  • Commitment from and training of the entire staff is essential.
  • Working safely is an employment condition.
  • Every person is responsible for looking after his/her own safety and the safety of others.
