From November 6 to 22, over 1000 people from San Nicolás, the country and the world, toured several circuits participating in the 17th edition of the race, organized by Ternium and the Municipality of San Nicolás, in benefit of APAC Cooperanza.
Together, we have over 8000 kilometers to the benefit of the institution
The 10K Ternium Virtual 2021 race was conceived as a solidarity challenge in which participants should walk or run using the ECORACE app to add kilometers in favor of Cooperanza. The virtual modality allowed for the choice of day, time, circuit and distance (3K, 5K, 10K) in which, besides 857 runners in San Nicolás and Ramallo, allowed for more people in 17 provinces of Argentina, and other countries like Mexico and Brazil, where Ternium employees also joined the proposal.
This year the objective was not arriving first, but rather adding kilometers constantly. During 17 days, we could see how each participant challenged themselves with the same objective (several participated even more than once).
Thanks to the participation of each person, 8,047 kilometers were run in benefit of APAC Cooperanza, an institution that has helped people with disabilities for over 30 years.
A total of $383,819.45 Argentinian Pesos ( was collected through inscriptions to the race, with the promise of Ternium Argentina of providing $150 for every kilometer run by the participants, which allowed for an addition of $1,207,050 pesos. This is how the total given to the benefit of the institution ascends to $1,590,870 pesos (approximately USD 15.000)
From 2005 on, the 10K Ternium seeks to promote sports and a healthy lifestyle among inhabitants of San Nicolás and other locations. Starting 2013, a solidarity objective was added: running to help an institution in the community every year, the participants have already collaborated in helping 7 institutions in the city.
