This is how we use biomethane in steel production

Share

Ternium Brazil is the first industry in Latin America to use waste gas, biomethane, in the production of steel.

The fuel resulting from the degradation of the waste comes from the Seropédica landfill, in Rio de Janeiro, and replaces part of the natural gas from fossil origin consumption in the operations.

The deployment of renewable energy reinforces Ternium's commitment to sustainability, innovation and energy efficiency.

Play the video and learn about this process.
