The assembly plant presented Ternium with the Supplier Excellence Award 2019, recognizing only the best suppliers.
For the second year in a row, Ternium México was recognized with the Supplier Excellence Award 2019 by General Motors (GM), a prize granted by GM to those suppliers committed to excellence in product quality.
A letter was sent to Ternium —due to Covid-19 health contingency— notifying the granting of such award, and the delivery of the certificate via the web.
“Congratulations on your excellent performance throughout 2019 and for being a valuable partner to us. We thank you for your everlasting comprehension and support during these unprecedented times,” expressed to Ternium Richard Demuynck, GM´s Executive Director of Quality and Development for Global Suppliers.
César Jiménez, Chief Executive of the company, emphasized that this award is proof of the passion and determination of Ternium´s areas working with customer satisfaction, “to be given this award in such complicated times is doubly satisfying,” he said.
Ricardo Michelini, Automotive and Service Centers Director, highlighted the company´s teamwork to obtain this award for the second year in a row: “This award tells us we´re working at the highest standards of the industry.”
Ramón Sotomayor, Automotive Manager, explained the necessary criteria for obtaining this recognition is: the company´s competitiveness, to belong to a high-level supplier base segment, and to maintain the highest standards regarding quality and delivery service.
