Training specialists in steel framing

Share

On December 16, 23 students graduated from the "First Comprehensive University Extension Seminar on Dry Construction and Steel Framing." The practical and theoretical training began in September and lasted 146 hours, many of which were spent on building  a complete module using this constructive technology.

Ternium supported this initiative from the design stage as it seeks to prioritize construction system teaching. The company’s scholarships meant that 10 people were able to access this first-level training course aimed at construction professionals, university professors and chairs of Architecture as well as entrepreneurs working in the sector.

Authorities from the Dry Construction Institute (INCOSE) were present at the diploma ceremony, including its president, Corinna de Barelli, vice president Francisco Pedrazzi and secretary, Marcelo Ferrando. Also, at the event were Norma Ciatti, dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences of the UCA, and Antonio Cristiani, Manager of Industrial Customers at Ternium.

This action is one of many that Ternium has been developing in alliance with INCOSE to disseminate Steel Framing skills. It also represents the concretion of a project involving a great deal of effort and commitment on the part of many different actors. “It is a source of great pride to have achieved such extensive and comprehensive training in Dry Construction and Steel Framing, as this is something we hope to be able to replicate in the future," said Ferrando.
