Technical Gen: new works in Argentina

Share

The school will have a new classroom equipped with 10 simulators for practicing welding techniques.

In the Technical Gen program framework, developed by Ternium Argentina, with the support of Hnos. Agustín y Enrique Rocca Foundation, buildings and technology equipment were inaugurated in Fray Luis Beltrán School in San Nicolás.

  • An awning was installed of 518 square meters to cover an internal yard that allows its 722 students to practice activities under any weather condition.
  • A welding classroom was also installed, equipped with 10 virtual simulators that can improve the learning of this technique. This technology allows the students to learn in a secure environment, and it also reduces expenses.
  • Likewise, a technological classroom with 20 laptops, 20 PCs, an interactive board with WI-FI, recording equipment, video and audio for conferences, and full connectivity, was inaugurated. Among other features, this classroom has a mixed modality, where half of the students are on-site and the other half are remote learning. Also, it allows them to do activities between different schools.

The new yard is covered with an awning of 518 m2 so 722 students can do physical activities.

Naldo Brunelli (Metalurgic Workers Union General Secretary), and Dante Nardoni (Fray Luis Beltrán Foundation President), were present in the opening ceremony and they walked among the buildings, accompanied by the directives of the union; Martín Berardi (Ternium Argentina CEO), alongside Fernando Chalup (Industrial Director), Santiago Lozano (HR Director), and Fernando Favaro (Community Relations Manager),
who were received by the School Principal, Jorge Fontana, Anibal Dellavedova, School Legal Representative, and the school staff.

Technological education and innovation are a priority for Ternium. The purpose of the Technical Gen program is to contribute to the improvement of the education quality in the locations where the company operates.

In conjunction with the inaugurated structures in the Fray Luis Beltrán school, Ternium alongside Hermanos Agustín y Enrique Rocca Foundation, continue working on an infrastructure plan without precedents, so they can improve 4 other technical schools in San Nicolás and Ramallo. This plan counts with a total investment of 3 and half-million dollars, and it will benefit thousands of students.

The technological classroom has 20 laptops and PCs, and other new tools.
