Ternium has been recognized once again for its corporate social responsibility.
The company was placed 30th in the 127 Responsible Companies ranking, by the Expansión media outlet.
It is the first appearance of Ternium in this ranking under a new methodology, which considers the economic position of the company, social responsibility matters, and environmental measures.
Within the area of social responsibility, the ranking considers community actions, ethics and compliance, salaries and compensation, health and safety, employment policies, diversity, and corporate governance.
The ranking is open to Mexican or foreign companies with a turnover of more than one billion USD a year. To apply, it is necessary for companies to fully answer a questionnaire with questions related to the aforementioned topics.
Ternium was recognized as one of the most responsible companies in Mexico.
For the application to this award, the departments of Communication, Human Resources, Hygiene and Safety, Management, Diversity, Environment, Energy Efficiency, Operations, Engineering, the Roberto Rocca Technical School, among others, participated.
Recently, the company has been recognized by public and private organizations for its actions towards the community and its corporate social responsibility.
For example, Ternium received the Ethics and Values of the Industry Award (EVI) by the Confederation of Industrial Chambers of the United Mexican States (CONCAMIN).
CONCAMIN itself granted the Best Business Practice award in the category of Health and Wellness for the inauguration of the Community Hospital at the Nova Club, in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León.
Ternium also received the recognition of “Mentor Leaders” in the third edition of the 2020 Mentoring Program for the Promotion of a Culture of Prevention, granted by the organization Workplace Wellness Council México.
