Webservice: technology connecting Ternium with its customers

Share

Ternium's business executives now follow up their customers remotely.

Ternium's sales network is closer than ever to its customers, even in times of social distancing.

Ternium has swiftly developed and put into place a range of technological tools that allow the members of its sales network to respect social distancing protocols while staying close to customers.

Proof of this is the way in which the commercial area works, using the Webservice platform and other applications to handle all queries and issues involving the company's customers virtually in real time.

Using Webservice, customers can view the company’s entire product inventory, enter and track their purchase orders as well as view invoices, in addition to many other operations.

Ternium's sales executives can follow up their customers wherever they are, taking advantage of features such as consulting the sales suggestions proposed by the system and the inventory available to be able to offer a product to the customer either electronically or by making a phone call.

"Our sales executive typically puts together an agenda so that they can approach the customer directly, which no longer requires a physical visit, but can be done on the phone or by chat," explains Daniel Figurka, Commercial Director of Ternium Mexico, adding that " this triggers the sale directly on the iPad."

Esther Tenorio, Manager of Commercial Systems and Supply Chain at Ternium Mexico points out that all the company’s sales executives have different digital solutions at their fingertips allowing them to work remotely from anywhere.

"At Ternium we are always one step ahead. We’ve geared ourselves to offer customers an easy way to interact with us using Webservice while bringing sales executive offices onto a virtual platform using different digital platforms. This positions us in an advantageous situation to deal with the constraints of this situation,” says Tenorio.

Operational and service continuity is a priority for Ternium in each of the countries where it has a presence. The development of these tools means that steel is not hindered from reaching the places where it is most needed.
