Ternium presents its protocol for preventive measures against the pandemic, to protect all those who enter the company's facilities.
Ternium publishes its new safety guide "Working Safely in Response to COVID-19" as part of the strategy to protect employees, contractors and suppliers and to prevent the spread of the coronavirus during the ongoing global pandemic.
The 43-page manual consolidates the guidelines issued since the onset of the COVID-19 crisis into one document and covers the full range of topics, including plant and office entry procedures, hygiene measures, disinfection protocols, physical distancing requirements, case management, communication strategy and leadership roles.
"We take decisive steps to protect the health and safety of our employees, customers and suppliers, as well as apply measures to ensure that the strength of our business is maintained," says Maximo Vedoya, Ternium CEO, in the introduction to this guide.
All the measures described in the document have been implemented at Ternium's facilities in the countries in which it operates. Medical experts from Humanitas Research Hospital & University, Ternium's sister company through the Techint Group, assisted in the development of safety guidelines, relying on their extensive clinical experience in fighting COVID-19 in Italy.
