Close to hospitals to stop Coronavirus

Share

As part of the support plan to health care systems, due to the Coronavirus, in communities near the General Savio plant, Ternium has given 65 beds (for intensive care and inpatients) to the following hospitals: San Felipe, in San Nicolas, and Gomedio, in Ramallo. Also, Ternium has provided hospital equipment and supplies such as infusion pumps, multiparametric monitors, oxygen pressure gauges, and biosafety materials (full medical suits, gloves, sanitizing gel).

“Right away, we got in contact with municipal authorities to know their needs and to coordinate different initiatives. They informed us about the different needs they had, so we started to work on it to be able to help”, mentioned Fernando Favaro, Community Relations Manager.

Ternium keeps doing management to obtain this equipment and supplies to collaborate with local health centers following the specific needs of each town so that we can fortify the infrastructure of the health system. New donations will be made in the following days, and as materials and equipment are received, these range from chin straps, swaps, and mist proof goggles to flowmeters and an ambulance, among others.
